Job Summary : The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring a safe and sanitized environment across the facility. The role involves managing housekeeping staff, monitoring cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage housekeeping staff (attendants, cleaners, janitors)
- Assign daily duties and prepare duty rosters
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of OPD, IPD, wards, OTs, and common areas
- Monitor infection control practices and hygiene standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleanliness
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and raise requisitions
- Train housekeeping staff on SOPs, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Coordinate with nursing and admin departments for cleanliness requirements
- Handle complaints related to housekeeping and resolve them promptly
- Ensure waste segregation and disposal as per biomedical waste guidelines
