Job Overview

The IGCSE Coordinator - Waldorf Curriculum will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the Cambridge IGCSE programme within the Waldorf educational framework. This role involves close coordination with Cambridge (CAIE), academic planning, faculty development, compliance management, and leading recruitment of IGCSE faculty to ensure high academic standards aligned with Cambridge requirements while respecting Waldorf philosophy.

Key Responsibilities1. Cambridge IGCSE Coordination & Compliance

- Act as the primary liaison between the school and Cambridge (CAIE) authorities
- Ensure full compliance with Cambridge academic, assessment, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate registrations, inspections, audits, examinations, and academic reporting as per Cambridge norms

2. Faculty Training & Development

- Plan and conduct regular teacher training programmes on IGCSE curriculum, pedagogy, and assessments
- Mentor teachers to effectively integrate Waldorf philosophy with Cambridge IGCSE requirements
- Observe classroom practices and provide structured academic feedback for continuous improvement

3. Curriculum Planning & Academic Oversight

- Oversee curriculum mapping, lesson planning, assessments, and reporting aligned with Cambridge standards
- Work closely with Subject Heads to ensure academic consistency and quality across grades
- Support internal assessments, examinations, and moderation processes

4. Academic Coordination & Operations

- Act as a bridge between academic teams, administration,



and school leadership
- Ensure smooth academic operations, timetable planning, and examination coordination
- Address academic concerns raised by parents or other stakeholders, when required

5. Quality Assurance & Documentation

- Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and documentation required by Cambridge
- Monitor academic delivery and ensure continuous alignment with Cambridge benchmarks

6. Faculty Recruitment & Hiring

- Lead the recruitment and hiring process for IGCSE teachers and faculty
- Identify staffing needs in coordination with school leadership
- Ensure recruited faculty meet Cambridge qualification, experience, and training standards
- Support onboarding and academic induction of newly hired teachers

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in Cambridge IGCSE framework and affiliation requirements
- Proven experience in academic leadership, faculty recruitment, and teacher training
- Excellent coordination, communication, and people-management skills
- Ability to balance Waldorf educational philosophy with international curriculum expectations
- Strong planning, documentation, and compliance orientation

Qualification & Experience

- 3-5 years of experience as an IGCSE Coordinator / Academic Coordinator
- Minimum 5+ years of Cambridge IGCSE teaching experience
- Cambridge career development certifications preferred
