Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned SAP ABAP Specialist to join our S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, ensuring high‑quality custom applications and seamless integration with the broader SAP technical architecture.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
- Perform code reviews and enforce best practices for up-to-date ABAP development.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Support migration and conversion activities from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
- Participate in agile delivery cycles, sprint planning, and daily stand‑ups.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge on ABAP OO, CDS,



and RAP frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with SAP security, transport management, and change control processes.
- Stay updated on SAP roadmap, new features, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong expertise in ABAP OO, CDS views, BOPF, and RAP.
- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Proficiency in ABAP development tools (SE80, ADT, Eclipse).
- Knowledge of SAP technical architecture, transport management, and system landscape.
- Ability to design and implement custom applications and enhancements.
- Understanding of SAP integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, OData, ALE).
- Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
