Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and passionate Assistant Professor to join our Nursing faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, guiding students in clinical and practical environments, developing curriculum content, and contributing to institutional compliance and research activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Academic Instruction: Deliver lectures, conduct practical laboratory sessions, and manage clinical training for Basic B.
Sc. Nursing and GNM students.
- Curriculum & Course Design: Prepare lesson plans, course outlines, teaching materials, and assessment rubrics in compliance with OUHS, ONMEB, and INC frameworks.
- Clinical Supervision: Oversee and mentor nursing students during clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals and healthcare centers.
- Student Assessment & Evaluation:



Prepare examination papers, conduct internal assessments, evaluate assignments/practical exams, and maintain accurate academic performance records.
- Mentorship & Advising: Guide students in academic growth, clinical skill development, research projects, and career planning.
- Institutional & Regulatory Compliance: Assist in maintaining departmental records, participating in inspections/audits (INC/ONMRC/OUHS/ONMEB), and upholding institutional quality standards.
- Career development & Research: Engage in scholarly activities, publish research papers, and participate in faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars. Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification:
- M.
Sc. in Nursing (Obstetric & Gynecological Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric / Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, or Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing) from a recognized university/institution.

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of post-M.
Sc. teaching experience in a recognized Nursing College/Institute (as per INC / State Council norms).
- Council Registration:




- Active/Valid registration certificate with the Odisha Nurses & Midwives Registration Council (ONMRC) or reciprocal state council registration.
- Desirable:
- Ongoing or completed Ph.
D. in Nursing or allied health sciences is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience with university/board examination procedures and clinical coordination. Required Skills & Competencies
