Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations in the metal fabrication unit, ensuring that production targets are achieved in accordance with quality standards, safety regulations, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities including cutting, bending, welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
Implement production plans and ensure achievement of output targets within defined timelines.
Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively to optimize productivity.
Monitor adherence to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments for smooth workflow.
Identify bottlenecks, production issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, statutory norms, and PPE usage on the shop floor.
Minimize material wastage, rework, and downtime through effective supervision.
Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and daily output documentation.
Train, guide, and evaluate shop-floor personnel to improve performance and skill levels.
Support internal and external audits, inspections,



and customer visits as required.

Qualifications
Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and work instructions.

Experience
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
Prior experience in supervising shop-floor personnel is mandatory.

Technical Skills
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and welding practices.
Familiarity with production planning and control concepts.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.

Language Requirements
Tamil
Hindi – (Basic Level)
English –(Basic Level)
