Kalpetha is a contemporary Indian women’s fashion label guided by ROOTED REFINED MODERN. We are looking for an Assistant Fashion Designer with a robust eye for colour, silhouette, fit and styling to help us curate and present our collections.
What you will do
Assist in selecting finished garments that fit Kalpetha’s design direction and customer.
Review samples for fit, finishing, fabric feel, detailing and overall presentation.
Suggest styling combinations for co-ord sets, suits, dresses and contemporary Indian wear.
Help plan product shoots, including looks, accessories and garment preparation.
Maintain product information such as measurements, fabric details, colours and care instructions, checking details against supplier information and garment labels.
Coordinate with suppliers and alteration partners on samples, quality observations and required corrections.
Support collection mood boards, trend research, product naming and website presentation.
Keep sample records and product references organised.
What we are looking for
Understanding of women’s wear, garment construction, textiles and fit.
Strong visual judgement and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and work across styling, photography, e-commerce and supplier teams.
Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is helpful.
