Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our Stem Cell Biology Team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in neuroscience and hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology techniques. The candidate will support ongoing research activities, laboratory experiments, and scientific documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Support research activities aligned with SKAN Research Trusts focus areas.
Assist in planning and executing research and development activities.
Perform laboratory experiments using cell and molecular biology techniques.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental data, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Participate in scientific discussions, meetings, and research reviews.
Assist in preparing scientific publications, research papers, and posters.
Ensure proper handling of laboratory equipment, samples, and research materials.

Required Skills and Technical Expertise

Candidates should have knowledge or hands-on experience in the following techniques:




Neuronal cell culture
Cell transfection techniques
Western blotting
RNA isolation and quantification
Molecular cloning techniques
Protein isolation and purification
Protein quantification assays
Cell biology and molecular biology techniques

Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc. in Neuroscience or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant research experience.
Basic theoretical and practical knowledge of neuroscience and associated laboratory techniques.
Positive documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Hands-on experience in neuroscience research and laboratory techniques.
Prior experience working with neuronal cell culture and molecular biology methods.
Interest in scientific research, experimentation, and publication activities.
