About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Diamond Buyer to support our purchasing team in sourcing, evaluating, and managing loose diamonds lab & natural and related inventory. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of diamond quality, certification, pricing, and supplier coordination.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about the diamond and jewellery industry, highly organized, and confident in working with vendors, assortments, and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

- Sourcing and purchasing loose lab & natural diamonds based on quality, budget, and business requirements
- Review diamond specifications including carat, colour, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry, fluorescence, and certification
- Compare prices from multiple suppliers and support the buying team in making cost-effective purchase decisions
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding availability, memo goods, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor details, and inventory updates
- Support stock management by tracking incoming and outgoing stones
- Conduct basic quality checks and ensure purchased diamonds align with company standards
- Monitor market trends, price movements, and supplier performance




- Prepare reports related to purchases, stock position, and supplier quotations

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in the diamond or jewellery industry preferred
- Basic to strong knowledge of diamond grading and certification
- Understanding of the 4Cs and overall diamond quality parameters
- Experience in vendor coordination and price comparison
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with certified & non- certified diamonds.
- Knowledge of domestic and international diamond markets
- Gemology background or relevant industry training is an advantage
