Job Description

The Restaurant Hostess will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, answering guest enquiries, and ensuring a smooth arrival and seating experience. The ideal candidate should have a friendly personality, valuable communication skills, professional presentation, and a genuine interest in hospitality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival and create a positive first impression.
- Manage guest reservations, enquiries, seating arrangements, and waiting lists.
- Assist guests with table allocation and coordinate with the F&B; Captain and service team.
- Provide information about the restaurant, menu, special dishes, and ongoing promotions.
- Handle telephone calls, reservation requests, and guest enquiries professionally.
- Maintain guest records and reservation details accurately.
- Follow up with guests when appropriate to support customer satisfaction and repeat visits.
- Collect guest feedback and communicate suggestions or concerns to restaurant management.
- Handle guest complaints politely and coordinate with the manager for timely resolution.
- Support special occasions, celebrations, group bookings, and VIP guest arrangements.




- Assist in maintaining guest databases and customer relationship records.
- Coordinate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Maintain professional grooming, front-of-house presentation, and hospitality standards.
- Support promotional activities, loyalty initiatives, and guest engagement programmes when required.

Required Skills

- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, confident, and guest-oriented personality.
- Professional grooming and presentation.
- Positive knowledge of customer service and hospitality etiquette.
- Ability to manage reservations, guest enquiries, and seating arrangements.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets or reservation systems.
- Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints calmly.
- Good coordination, organization, and time-management skills.
- English and Hindi communication preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

- Experience: 2–4 years in guest relations, front office, customer service, or restaurant hospitality.
- Education: Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality qualification is an advantage.
- Freshers: Candidates with solid communication skills and a positive attitude may apply.
- Location: Candidates from Siliguri and nearby areas are preferred.
- Availability: Must be comfortable working rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
