Position: Chef & Caretaker / Property Manager
Property: The Bagh Kufri, Shimla

We are looking for a responsible, experienced and hardworking Chef & Caretaker to manage the day-to-day operations of our small 7-room property, The Bagh Kufri.

Since this is a small and peaceful property, we are looking for someone who can independently handle both cooking and basic property operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh, hygienic and tasty meals for guests as required.
- Handle breakfast, lunch and dinner preparation according to guest requirements.
- Prepare basic North Indian and Himachali food.
- Manage the kitchen, groceries and basic kitchen inventory.
- Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out.
- Handle basic guest requirements and provide a warm, hospitable experience.
- Keep track of room readiness and coordinate basic housekeeping requirements.
- Ensure common areas, kitchen and property are kept clean and well maintained.
- Take care of day-to-day property operations in the owner's absence.
- Coordinate with housekeeping/support staff whenever required.
- Check rooms and facilities before guest arrival.
- Report any maintenance issues or guest requirements to the owner.
- Maintain basic records of groceries,



supplies and property requirements.
- Help ensure the overall property is protected, clean and guest-ready.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, Caretaker, Hotel Staff or Homestay Manager preferred.
- Should be able to cook independently.
- Basic knowledge of North Indian/Himachali cuisine will be an advantage.
- Should be responsible, trustworthy and well-mannered.
- Good communication and guest-handling skills.
- Should be comfortable handling multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Hospitality/hotel experience will be preferred.

Important

This is a small 7-room property, so we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the property and handle multiple day-to-day responsibilities rather than someone who only wants to work as a chef.
