Quality Control Engineer
Location: Partapur Industrial Estate, Meerut, UP | Full-time, on-site

About the role
You own quality across both units — from raw material intake and compound testing in the lab to in-process checks and final inspection on the shopfloor. We make rubber parts for OEMs, nuclear, distilleries, and sugar mills. Our customers test what we ship. Your job is to make sure nothing reaches them that shouldn’t.

What you’ll do

Lab

- Run physical testing on raw materials, compounds, and finished parts: hardness, tensile, elongation, modulus, tear, compression set, specific gravity, ageing, fluid immersion
- Operate rheometer and Mooney viscometer; interpret cure curves and flag batch-to-batch variation
- Maintain test records, calibration schedules, and equipment upkeep
- Support compound development and customer-specific qualification testing

Production

- In-process quality checks across molding presses — dimensional, visual, cure confirmation
- Set and enforce inspection criteria with the finishing and inspection teams
- Investigate rejections and customer complaints; drive root cause analysis and corrective action
- Monitor rejection trends by press, operator, compound, and part; report weekly with data

System





- Maintain ISO documentation, inspection reports, and test certificates
- Prepare COAs, test reports, and dossiers for customer and third-party audits
- Support current product qualification and first-article inspection

What we’re looking for

- B.Sc./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Polymer, Rubber Technology, or Chemical Engineering
- 2–5 years in QC within rubber, polymer, or allied manufacturing — fresher candidates considered
- Hands-on with rubber testing equipment and ASTM/ISO test methods
- Able to read drawings and use measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges, profile projector)
- Comfortable with Excel for data analysis; willing to stand on the shopfloor, not just sit in the lab
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001; exposure to nuclear or export QC documentation is a plus
