Role Summary
GKS Projects and Events needs an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare and manage all design drawings for our event, tentage and temporary infrastructure projects. The role covers site layouts, structure drawings, tender drawings and as-built records. You will work closely with the operations and tender teams from bid stage to project handover.
Drawings & Layouts
- Prepare 2D site layouts and master plans for events, tent cities, camps, exhibitions and temporary structures.
- Prepare plan / elevation / section drawings for German hangers, pandals, stages, tin sheds, barricading and other structures.
- Revise drawings as per client / authority comments and maintain proper version control.
- Prepare tender and presentation drawings for recent bids.
Site Coordination
- Visit sites for measurement and survey; convert site data into accurate drawings.
- Mark layouts on site with the site team and resolve drawing-related queries.
- Prepare as-built drawings after setup for billing and handover.
Quantity & Documentation
- Take out quantities from drawings (area, running metre, nos.) to support BOQ and billing.
- Maintain drawing register and organised soft / hard copy records project-wise.
- Print and submit drawing sets to clients and government departments as required.
Qualification & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD drafting, preferably in events, tentage, exhibitions, construction or infrastructure.
- Strong AutoCAD 2D; basic SketchUp / 3D and MS Excel preferred.
- Able to read site measurements and understand basic structural details.
- Willing to travel and stay at project sites as required.
