Job Summary

Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Gas Chromatography (GC) instruments for the analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and other samples as per approved analytical methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and handle GC instruments with FID or other applicable detectors.
- Perform routine analysis of pharmaceutical samples using validated analytical methods.
- Analyze residual solvents in raw materials and finished products as per approved specifications.
- Perform testing of solvents, impurities, volatile compounds, and other applicable analytes.
- Prepare samples, standard solutions, mobile gases, and reagents as per approved procedures.
- Perform system suitability tests and ensure compliance with approved analytical method requirements.
- Review chromatograms, retention times, peak areas, integration parameters, and calculation results.
- Ensure proper documentation of analytical results, observations, and instrument usage in laboratory records.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Valuable Laboratory Practices (GLP), data integrity requirements, and applicable pharmacopoeial standards.
- Perform instrument calibration verification, routine maintenance,



and troubleshooting of GC systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot GC columns, injection ports, liners, septa, gas flow, and detectors as applicable.
- Report and investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in laboratory investigations, deviations, CAPA, and change control activities, as applicable.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and solvents.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, and other relevant departments to support timely testing and batch release.

Technical Skills Required

- Hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography.
- Knowledge of headspace GC techniques for residual solvent analysis.
- Familiarity with GC software, such as Empower, Open Lab CDS, or equivalent systems.
- Knowledge of GMP, data integrity, chromatographic principles, method validation, system suitability, and analytical calculations.
- Understanding of residual solvent testing as per ICH Q3C and applicable pharmacopoeial requirements.
- Knowledge of analytical instrument qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with electronic data systems, audit trails, and data integrity requirements, including ALCOA+ principles.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Time management and teamwork.
- Ability to follow procedures and meet testing timelines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
