JOB DESCRIPTION – FAÇADE PROJECT PLANNING ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Façade Project Planning Engineer to plan, schedule, monitor, and control façade project activities, ensuring timely execution within approved budgets and quality standards. The candidate should have experience in aluminium glazing, curtain wall systems, unitized and semi-unitized façades, ACP cladding, aluminium doors and windows, and related façade works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare detailed project schedules, work programmes, and milestone charts.
- Develop baseline schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Plan project activities covering design, approvals, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, and handover.
- Prepare manpower, material, equipment, and resource deployment plans.
- Identify critical activities and project milestones.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

- Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Track planned versus actual progress using progress curves and dashboards.
- Coordinate with project managers to develop recovery plans for delayed activities.
- Maintain project trackers for drawings, material approvals, procurement, fabrication, and site installation.

3. Coordination & Follow-up

- Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, production, quality, and site execution teams.
- Follow up on shop drawings, material submittals, technical approvals, and work-front availability.
- Monitor material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability at project sites.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and site teams as required.

4. Resource & Material Planning





- Prepare material requirement plans based on project schedules.
- Monitor aluminium profiles, glass, ACP sheets, hardware, accessories, and other façade materials.
- Coordinate production and dispatch schedules with the factory.
- Plan installation teams, equipment, scaffolding, gondolas, and other resources according to site requirements.

5. Risk Management & Documentation

- Identify potential project delays, resource constraints, and schedule risks.
- Maintain delay registers, action trackers, and project documentation.
- Assist in preparing catch-up schedules and revised project programmes.
- Support project managers in progress reviews, client meetings, and management reporting.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of façade systems and construction project execution.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Excel; Primavera P6 knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong planning, scheduling, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to track multiple project activities and meet deadlines.
- Positive communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Schedule Adherence: Percentage of project milestones achieved as per the approved baseline schedule.
- Planning & Reporting Accuracy: Timely submission and accuracy of project progress reports and schedules.
- Delay Identification & Recovery: Timely identification of critical delays and implementation of recovery plans.
- Material & Resource Readiness: Percentage of planned materials and resources available as per schedule.
- Coordination Effectiveness: Timely closure of drawing approvals, procurement issues, and interdepartmental action points.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in façade, aluminium glazing, curtain wall, or building envelope projects.
- Practical understanding of design-to-installation project workflows.
- Experience coordinating with factory production and site installation teams.
- Strong follow-up skills and a proactive approach to project delivery.
