Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, operating systems, networking, printers, and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, diagnosing IT issues, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring smooth IT operations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers, applications, and security updates.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, peripherals, and other office equipment.
- Identify and resolve basic LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and networking issues.
- Provide technical support to clients at their premises and remotely, when required.
- Perform system maintenance, software updates, antivirus installation, and basic data backup.
- Maintain records of service requests, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure professional customer service and follow company procedures while handling client equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.




- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common office applications.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners, LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and basic networking.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to client locations for on-site support.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1–2 years of experience in desktop support, or hardware and networking.
- Practical experience in computer assembly, OS installation, hardware upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, basic server support, and network troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
- Relevant IT hardware or networking certifications are desirable.

Additional Requirements

- A valid driving licence and two-wheeler are preferred/required for on-site client visits, depending on company requirements.
- Candidates should be comfortable travelling within Guwahati and nearby areas.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
