JOB DESCRIPTION – PAINT SUPERVISOR

1. Job Purpose

To supervise and manage the complete painting and finishing operations of wooden furniture, interior fixtures, panels, doors, cabinets and other interior fit-out products. Ensure quality finishing, timely production, optimum utilisation of manpower and materials, and adherence to safety standards.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Production & Paint Shop Supervision

- Supervise day-to-day painting and polishing activities in the paint shop.
- Plan and allocate work to painters, polishers and helpers.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per project schedules.
- Monitor the complete painting process, including sanding, putty application, primer, coating, polishing and final finishing.
- Coordinate with the production team for timely availability of materials and components.
- Ensure proper workflow and avoid production delays.

B. Quality Control & Finishing

- Ensure smooth, uniform and defect-free finishing of all products.
- Inspect surface preparation, colour matching,



shade consistency and final coating.
- Identify and rectify defects such as scratches, bubbles, uneven coating, dust marks and colour variations.
- Ensure products meet approved samples and client specifications.
- Conduct final quality checks before dispatch.
- Minimise rework, rejection and material wastage.

C. Manpower Management

- Allocate daily responsibilities to painters and helpers.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline and productivity.
- Train workers on painting techniques and finishing standards.
- Evaluate the performance of paint shop workers.
- Ensure proper utilisation of available manpower.

D. Material & Inventory Management

- Monitor the consumption of paints, thinner, polish, primer, hardener, putty and other consumables.
- Maintain proper stock levels and raise material requirements in advance.
- Avoid unnecessary wastage and control material consumption.
- Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase Departments for material availability.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of paints and chemicals.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
