Job Description: Resident Security Guard (Live-in)

Location: Platinum building 5th block, Koramanagala, Bangalore

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent (Live-in)

Accommodation: Free on-site living quarters provided

Role Summary

We are looking for a reliable, disciplined, and vigilant Resident Security Guard to oversee the safety, entry management, and daily security operations of our building. This is a full-time, live-in position where the guard will reside on the premises to ensure continuous vigilance and immediate availability during emergencies.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccess Control & Visitor Management

- Monitor the main gate and regulate the entry and exit of residents, visitors, domestic helpers, vendors, and service personnel.
- Maintain an accurate visitor logbook (or operate digital society gate management apps if applicable) with visitor names, contact numbers, vehicle details, and flat/unit numbers.
- Verify delivery agents and service workers before granting entry.
- Manage vehicle parking, prevent unauthorized parking, and ensure smooth traffic movement in the driveway.

Surveillance & Patrolling

- Conduct regular security rounds/patrols around the premises, including corridors, staircases, parking bays, pump rooms, and terrace areas.
- Monitor CCTV screens (if installed) and promptly report any suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or safety hazards.
- Ensure all perimeter gates, emergency exits, and common utility rooms are securely locked at designated hours.

Premises & Utility Support

- Operate the building’s water pump/motor at scheduled times, monitor water tank levels, and prevent overflows.
- Check common area lighting and switch on/off perimeter lights according to schedule.




- Respond promptly to power outages by switching on the backup generator/inverter (if applicable).
- Report maintenance issues, water leakages, or electrical faults immediately to the building management/secretary.

Emergency Response

- Act as the first point of contact for any security, medical, or fire emergencies on the premises.
- Operate basic firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, hose reels) if required.
- Contact the local police station, fire department, ambulance services, or building committee members when necessary.

Required Qualifications & Criteria

- Education: Minimum 10th Standard (Matriculation) pass. Must be able to read and write clearly in order to maintain logbooks and read delivery slips.
- Residency Requirement: Must be willing to reside full-time in the on-site accommodation provided by the building.
- Background Check: Must have a clean police record. A clear Police Verification Certificate and valid Government ID (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID) are mandatory prior to joining.
- Physical Fitness: Valuable physical stamina, sound health, and clear eyesight and hearing.
- Communication Skills: Basic conversational proficiency in the local language(kannada); ability to speak and understand basic Hindi or English is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience as a watchman, security guard, or ex-serviceman/home guard is preferred, but disciplined and responsible candidates are welcome to apply.
