The Restaurant Steward is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, maintaining restaurant cleanliness and hygiene, preparing tables, and ensuring smooth daily restaurant operations. The role requires a polite attitude, good communication skills, teamwork, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Service

- Welcome and assist guests in a polite and professional manner.
- Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate special requirements to the supervisor.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

2. Restaurant Setup

- Prepare tables with appropriate crockery, cutlery, glassware, napkins, and table accessories.
- Ensure the restaurant is ready before service begins.
- Maintain proper table arrangements and presentation.

3. Food and Beverage Service

- Serve food and beverages accurately and on time.
- Follow proper serving techniques and service sequences.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, captains, and supervisors for timely service.
- Clear used plates and reset tables promptly.

4. Cleanliness and Hygiene

- Maintain cleanliness of tables, chairs, floors, service stations, and restaurant areas.
- Follow food safety, personal hygiene,



and sanitation standards.
- Ensure service equipment is clean and properly stored.

5. Equipment and Inventory

- Handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully.
- Report damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor.
- Replenish service station supplies as required.

6. Billing and Coordination

- Assist with order communication and billing procedures as assigned.
- Coordinate with the cashier and other service team members.
- Ensure accurate communication of guest orders and special requests.

7. Opening and Closing Duties

- Complete restaurant opening and closing checklists.
- Refill condiments, water stations, and service supplies.
- Clean and organize the restaurant after service.
- Prepare the restaurant for the next shift.

8. Compliance and Teamwork

- Follow company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
- Attend briefings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Supervisor or F&B; Manager.
