Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Infrastructure Integration Architect to lead infrastructure integration and readiness for an ACF2 to RACF migration.

The role involves ensuring seamless integration with z/OS infrastructure, Sysplex, JES2, USS, networking, storage, GDPS, HSM, automation, and operational systems. The candidate will be responsible for infrastructure readiness, system configuration impacts, IPL and fallback dependencies, disaster recovery (DR) validation, and cross-functional issue resolution while ensuring system stability, resilience, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead infrastructure readiness for RACF activation and security conversion across production, disaster recovery (DR), and test environments.
- Validate z/OS parmlib/proclib, IPL processes, RACF class activation, SMF settings, system exits, started task definitions, and security-sensitive configurations.
- Manage integration impacts across JES2, USS, TCP/IP, AT-TLS, certificates, keyrings, z/OSMF, automation, scheduler interfaces, and system command authority.
- Assess storage, HSM, catalogues, GDPS, backup/restore, tape, and DR procedure impacts under the target RACF security model.
- Coordinate infrastructure service IDs, started task IDs, batch IDs, operations IDs, automation IDs, and emergency support IDs with the RACF group model.
- Define pre-IPL, post-IPL, fallback, DR, and infrastructure validation procedures for mock and production cutovers.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure authorisation failures using console logs, RACF messages, SMF, JES logs, TCP/IP logs, USS logs, IPCS, and subsystem traces.
- Review infrastructure runbooks, implementation plans, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), recovery procedures, and technical documentation.
- Ensure infrastructure monitoring, alerting, operational procedures, and escalation paths are updated for RACF-controlled operations.




- Provide infrastructure risk assessments and readiness inputs for migration go/no-go decisions.

Required Technical Skills

1. Mainframe & z/OS Infrastructure

- Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, parmlib, proclib, IPL, SMF, system exits, JES2, WLM, and RMF.
- Hands-on experience with Sysplex and mainframe infrastructure architecture.

2. Mainframe Security Integration

- Experience with RACF security profiles and resource classes, including STARTED, SURROGAT, OPERCMDS, FACILITY, UNIXPRIV, and DIGTCERT.
- Knowledge of dataset security, certificates, and keyrings.
- Understanding of ACF2/RACF coexistence and security migration.

3. USS & Network Infrastructure

- Knowledge of USS, OMVS, BPX resources, TCP/IP, AT-TLS, FTP/SFTP, SSH, and keyrings.

4. Storage & Disaster Recovery

- Experience with SMS, HSM, catalogues, GDPS, backup/restore, tape management, and dataset profiles.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and validation.

5. Automation & Operations

- Experience with NetView, System Automation, scheduler interfaces, and operational procedures.

6. Governance & Change Management

- Experience in change control, infrastructure readiness reviews, implementation planning, fallback procedures, DR validation, and audit evidence management.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with z/OSMF, zSecure, System Automation, and GDPS tooling.
- Knowledge of Ansible for Z and Git-based configuration management.
- Exposure to AI-assisted mainframe operations.
- IBM certifications in z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, RACF, GDPS, or storage technologies.

Experience & Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience in IBM Z infrastructure, z/OS systems programming, or mainframe infrastructure architecture.
- Strong experience with z/OS, Sysplex, JES2, USS, TCP/IP, storage, automation, and disaster recovery.
- Proven experience supporting mainframe security subsystem changes, RACF implementation, ACF2/RACF coexistence, or large-scale infrastructure migration and cutover programmes.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
