Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, disciplined, and caring Hostel Warden to manage the daily operations of a school hostel. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining discipline, ensuring student safety, supervising hostel facilities, and creating a safe, hygienic, and supportive living environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

- Hostel Management
- Supervise daily hostel activities and maintain discipline.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of hostel premises.
- Monitor hostel facilities, including rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Student Care & Supervision
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all hostel students.
- Monitor students' daily routines, including study hours, meals, and bedtime.
- Maintain attendance records and monitor student movement.
- Provide guidance and emotional support to students.
- Discipline & Safety
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations.
- Handle student complaints and disciplinary matters professionally.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and safety concerns.
- Follow school child-protection and safeguarding policies.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with school management, teachers, parents, and hostel staff.
- Maintain student records,



attendance registers, and incident reports.
- Report maintenance issues and student concerns to school authorities.
- Supervise housekeeping, kitchen, and security staff.

Educational Qualifications

- Minimum Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with a background in Education, Hostel Administration, or Student Welfare will be preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is desirable.

Experience

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Hostel Warden, Residential Supervisor, or in a similar position preferred.
- Freshers with good communication and management skills may also apply.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and disciplinary management.
- Ability to handle students with patience and care.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Ability to manage hostel staff and daily operations.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and willing to stay on campus.

Additional Requirements

- Must be willing to reside within the hostel premises.
- Should be available to handle emergencies.
- Previous experience in a CBSE/ICSE residential school will be an added advantage.
- Must maintain professional conduct and student confidentiality.
