Critical Tasks

1. Strategy:

a) Plan and prioritize maintenance activities in alignment with production targets and plant schedules.

b) Identify critical equipment and prepare preventive maintenance strategies accordingly.

2. Execution:

a) Supervise maintenance tasks, monitor equipment health, and coordinate quick breakdown resolutions.

b) Implement preventive and predictive maintenance measures to minimize downtime.

c) Allocate manpower, tools, and materials effectively for maintenance tasks.

d) Coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, and major repairs within area of responsibility.

3. Governance:

a) Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and equipment history.

b) Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance SOPs, and statutory norms.

c) Monitor and control maintenance costs within assigned budgets.

4. People:

a) Lead, guide, and develop maintenance teams within the area.

b) Conduct toolbox talks (TBT)



and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

c) Act as a point of contact between mechanical maintenance and other departments for area-specific issues.

5.Technology

a) Use SAP/ERP systems for job tracking, material requests, and data logging.

b) Monitor equipment performance trends and share insights for continuous improvement.

Required Educational Background and Work Experience

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience: 10-15 years of Work Experience in the related field.
