1. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure that all incoming raw materials, bought-out components and supplier materials meet approved specifications, engineering drawings and quality standards before release for production.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials, bought-out components and machined parts as per approved specifications.
- Verify dimensions, material grades, test certificates and other quality parameters.
- Ensure inspection as per engineering drawings, sampling plans and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, segregate and control non-conforming materials.
- Maintain incoming inspection reports, rejection records and quality documentation.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, rejection trends and supplier PPM.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quality complaints, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support supplier audits and supplier quality improvement activities.
- Ensure proper calibration and utilisation of measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores and Production for resolution of incoming quality issues.

3. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

- Incoming rejection and supplier PPM.
- Incoming inspection compliance.




- Timely closure of supplier complaints.
- Effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Reduction in supplier-related quality losses.
- Inspection accuracy and documentation compliance.

4. TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP and FMEA.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T; and dimensional inspection.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and material testing.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and effective coordination.

5. AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

- Authority to accept or reject incoming materials as per approved quality standards.
- Responsible for identification, segregation and control of non-conforming materials.
- Ensure that only approved and conforming materials are released for production.

Overall Accountability: To ensure incoming material quality through effective inspection, supplier coordination and quality control, preventing defective materials from entering the production process.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
