We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Engineer responsible for repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment used in manufacturing and metal recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain hydraulic lifts, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, power packs and hydraulic pipelines.
- Handle breakdown maintenance of industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Repair and maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts and pulleys.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of machines.
- Identify mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Handle maintenance of conveyors, material handling equipment and industrial lifting systems.
- Repair and maintain cranes, hoists and lifting equipment wherever applicable.
- Perform welding, cutting, fitting and fabrication work when required.
- Inspect machines regularly to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Replace damaged mechanical components and ensure proper machine functioning.
- Maintain maintenance records and report breakdown issues.
- Ensure workplace and machine safety during repair and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Solid hands-on experience in mechanical machine repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience repairing hydraulic lifts and hydraulic equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial motors, pumps, gearboxes and bearings.
- Troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance skills.
- Basic welding, fitting and fabrication knowledge.
- Ability to identify mechanical faults and repair machines independently.
