Mavelikara

We are seeking a go-getter with strong clinical fundamentals, sound assessment skills and a patient-first approach. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing appropriate cases independently within their professional competence, taking responsibility for patient outcomes, and recognising when medical referral or additional clinical support is required.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in developing a growing physiotherapy service, building patient relationships and establishing a strong local referral network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identify functional limitations and develop individualised physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Manage patients with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, joint disorders, mobility limitations, sports-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.
- Deliver evidence-informed treatment through therapeutic exercise, functional rehabilitation, mobility training and appropriate adjunctive modalities.
- Assess and support elderly patients with mobility, balance, strength and functional independence needs.
- Apply appropriate rehabilitation principles for neurological conditions within demonstrated competence, seeking specialist input or referral when necessary.
- Monitor patient progress, document clinical findings and treatment outcomes, and modify treatment plans based on patient response.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programmes, rehabilitation goals, precautions and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, consent documentation and follow-up plans.
- Recognise clinical red flags,

respond appropriately to emergencies and coordinate timely referral to a doctor or hospital when indicated.
- Build positive relationships with patients, caregivers, doctors and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
- Contribute actively to patient outreach, service development and growth of the physiotherapy patient base.
- Uphold skilled ethics, patient confidentiality, infection-control practices and safe clinical standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is mandatory; MPT is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant, hands-on clinical experience after qualification, preferably in a hospital, physiotherapy clinic, rehabilitation centre or home-care setting.
- Strong practical experience in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
- Good clinical assessment, reasoning, treatment-planning and patient-management skills.
- Ability to manage routine cases independently within professional competence.
- Good communication and patient-counselling skills.
- Malayalam proficiency is essential for effective communication with local patients; English proficiency is desirable.
- Valid professional registration as applicable to the candidate and current regulatory requirements.

Desirable: Experience in neurological rehabilitation, geriatric physiotherapy,

post-operative rehabilitation and home-based patient care.

We are looking for someone who:

- Takes initiative and approaches clinical challenges thoughtfully.
- Is confident, responsible and willing to be accountable for patient care.
- Combines clinical judgement with compassion, patience and professionalism.
- Is proactive about patient follow-ups, building relationships and improving service quality.
- Wants to contribute to the growth of a healthcare service rather than simply complete assigned sessions.
- Understands professional boundaries and seeks medical or senior clinical input when a case falls outside their competence.
- Is interested in long-term professional growth with a developing healthcare organisation.

What We Offer:

- An opportunity to take meaningful responsibility in a growing physiotherapy service.
- Scope to contribute ideas, improve patient experience and develop clinical services.
- The opportunity to build professional relationships and help grow the patient base.
- A supportive environment focused on compassionate care, professional ethics and continuous improvement.
- Salary commensurate with experience, practical competence and overall suitability.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates who meet the experience and qualification requirements are invited to apply with their updated CV, including details of clinical experience, key treatment areas, current location, expected salary and notice period. Write to - [email protected]

Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
