Key responsibilities

- Monitor cloud environments, OEM dashboards, CFS services, shared email services, P6/Unifier/CIC, Analytics, and related infrastructure across regions.

- Triage alerts for application availability, pod/container restarts, Crash Loop Back Off conditions, controller/job failures, database connectivity, password rotation, Golden Gate/data-lag conditions, and ETL/load-plan failures.

- Perform initial validation using approved tools, dashboards, logs, runbooks, and basic command-line checks; distinguish planned maintenance/patching activity from actionable incidents.

- Execute scheduled operational checks, including customer application/PVD login validation, ETL and production status checks, DB-account/password-expiry checks, and approved Jenkins jobs.

- Create clear incident updates with affected customer/workplace, region, severity, symptoms, timestamps, initial findings, and actions taken.

- Escalate promptly to the relevant application, database, infrastructure, Analytics/CIC, or engineering team when issues exceed L1 scope; track follow-up until ownership is confirmed.

- Maintain accurate three-shift handovers covering service health, open incidents, outages, pending actions,

maintenance activity, and escalation references.

- Follow documented runbooks, change controls, security processes, and access-management procedures.

- Identify recurring/noisy alerts and contribute observations to improve alert thresholds, suppressions, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

Required qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience considered.

- Experience in system administration, cloud operations, NOC, application support, or technical support.

- Foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, networking, cloud concepts, and monitoring tools.

- Basic familiarity with SQL/databases, application logs, REST/API errors, and job-scheduling or CI/CD tools.

- Exposure to Kubernetes/containers, Grafana/OEM or comparable monitoring platforms is desirable.

- Strong written communication: able to produce concise, structured operational updates and handovers.

- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for 24 7 coverage.
