Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable

automation frameworks using Playwright/Selenium.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across UI, API, end-to-end,

integration, and regression automation.

Define the overall test automation strategy, architecture, coding

standards, reusable components, and engineering best practices.

Evaluate and implement AI/GenAI capabilities within the Quality

Engineering lifecycle, including intelligent test generation, test optimization,

defect analysis, test maintenance, and engineering productivity

improvements.

Establish effective use of AI-assisted development and testing

approaches, with appropriate focus on accuracy, security, governance, and

responsible adoption.

Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous

testing and rapid quality feedback.

Drive improvements in automation coverage, execution efficiency, reliability,

maintainability, and overall release confidence.

Review automation code and framework design to ensure scalability,

reusability, performance, and engineering quality.

Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual effort through automation,

reusable accelerators, and AI-enabled solutions.

Troubleshoot complex automation challenges and provide technical guidance

on framework, application, environment, and pipeline issues.

Mentor automation engineers and promote a culture of engineering

excellence, continuous learning, innovation, and quality ownership.

Collaborate closely with Product, Development, Dev Ops, Architecture, and

Business teams to embed quality throughout the software development

lifecycle.

Define and monitor relevant QE metrics and KPIs to demonstrate automation

effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

8 14 years of overall experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or

Software Engineering in Test.

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright/Selenium, including





framework development and enterprise-scale automation implementation.

Strong programming experience in Type Script/Java Script/Java. Knowledge

of additional languages such as Java or Python would be advantageous.

Strong understanding of modern automation design patterns, reusable

framework architecture, test data management, reporting, logging, and

parallel execution.

Experience across Web/UI and API automation, with good understanding of

end-to-end testing strategies.

Strong working knowledge of CI/CD and Dev Ops practices, with experience

integrating automation into continuous delivery pipelines.

Good understanding of Git-based development workflows, code reviews,

branching strategies, and engineering standards.

Strong knowledge of AI and Generative AI concepts, with an understanding

of how AI can be practically applied across the software testing lifecycle.

Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, AI coding assistants, AI agents,

or AI-enabled testing solutions is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of Agile delivery, shift-left testing, continuous testing,

and modern Quality Engineering principles.

Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring automation engineers

while continuing to contribute hands-on technically.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and

communication skills.

Preferred / Valuable-to-Have Skills

Experience implementing AI/GenAI-driven accelerators or use cases for

Quality Engineering.

Exposure to agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLM-based

applications, RAG, or AI-assisted test automation.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Understanding of performance, accessibility, security, and mobile testing

would be an advantage.

Experience modernizing legacy automation frameworks and transitioning to

Playwright or contemporary automation platforms.

Experience working in complex, large-scale enterprise environments with

multiple applications and distributed teams.

Relevant certifications in Quality Engineering, Cloud, Dev Ops, or AI would

be an added advantage.
