Cogniter Technologies is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented QA / Tester to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of web and mobile applications through both manual and automation testing. The role involves close collaboration with developers and project managers to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, usability, and automation testing
• Create, maintain, and execute automation test scripts
• Work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently
• Validate bug fixes before deployment
• Maintain testing reports and documentation
• Ensure applications meet business and user requirements
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing strategies
Required Skills
• Understanding of Software Testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC
• Knowledge of Manual and Automation Testing methodologies
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valuable communication and teamwork abilities
• High attention to detail and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Experience in testing web and mobile applications preferred
• Knowledge of API testing and automation frameworks is an advantage
• Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages is a plus
