Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our construction team in Shillong, Meghalaya. The candidate will be responsible for conducting land and site surveys, measuring and mapping construction sites, establishing reference points, and ensuring accurate survey data for construction and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in land surveying, knowledge of surveying instruments, and the ability to work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct land, topographical, and construction site surveys.
- Perform accurate measurements of land boundaries, elevations, levels, and distances.
- Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, DGPS, and other relevant equipment.
- Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference lines at project sites.
- Prepare survey drawings, maps, reports, and measurement records.
- Assist the engineering team in setting out building layouts, roads, foundations, and other construction structures.
- Verify site measurements and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings.
- Coordinate with site engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Maintain proper records of survey data and ensure accuracy in all measurements.




- Identify and report any discrepancies between actual site conditions and project drawings.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in land surveying or construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS, and other surveying equipment.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and survey drawing preparation.
- Understanding of construction drawings, site layouts, levels, and measurements.
- Good analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with site teams.
- Willingness to work at project sites in and around Shillong, Meghalaya.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in building construction, road construction, and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of topographical and contour surveys.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
