- Machine Operation: Load and unload raw materials, castings, or workpieces onto the VMC table and run production cycles.
- Setup & Offsets: Perform work offset settings, tool setting, and mount fixtures using a dial indicator or edge finder.
- Program & Code Execution: Load, select, and run CNC/VMC programs, with a basic working knowledge of G-codes and M-codes.
- Quality Inspection: Check finished components for dimensional accuracy and tight tolerances (often ranging from 5 to 10 microns) using precision tools like micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Tool Maintenance: Monitor tool wear, perform insert changes, and adjust offsets or replace cutting tools as needed.
- Safety & Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow shop-floor safety protocols and routine machine maintenance. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Experience:



1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in operating VMC or CNC machines in a manufacturing or automobile component industry.
- Education: ITI (Machinist / Fitter) or a Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
- Familiarity with controller systems (such as Fanuc or Siemens controls, depending on company requirements).
- Proficiency in handling precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges).

General Job Expectations & Compensation

- Shift Work: Typically involves standard rotational or factory shifts (often 8 to 12 hours with overtime opportunities).
- Salary Range (India): Varies generally from ₹18,000 to ₹25000+ per month,

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
