Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled UK Year End Accountant with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in preparing year-end accounts for UK limited companies. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of UK accounting standards, financial statements, bookkeeping, and year-end adjustments.

Candidates with practical experience in UK accounting firms or accounting outsourcing companies will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare year-end accounts for UK limited companies.
- Prepare Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets.
- Review trial balances, general ledgers, and bookkeeping records.
- Perform year-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Apply relevant UK accounting standards, including FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Identify missing information and resolve accounting queries.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of accounts.
- Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain work quality.

Required Skills

- 2–4 years of experience in UK accounting.
- Hands-on experience in UK year-end accounts preparation.
- Knowledge of UK limited company accounts.
- Understanding of FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping, trial balance review, and year-end adjustments.
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or other UK accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments.

Qualifications

B.Com,



M.Com, ACCA, ACCA part-qualified, AAT, or equivalent accounting qualifications are preferred. However, relevant practical experience in UK year-end accounts preparation will be given greater importance than formal qualifications.
