Job Description – AutoCAD Draftsman

Position: AutoCAD Draftsman Department: Engineering / Design & Consultancy Role.

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman responsible for preparing accurate engineering drawings, detailed plans, sections, elevations and construction drawings for various civil engineering, water resources, infrastructure and landscape development projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lake Rejuvenation & Development: Preparation of existing site plans, topographic layouts, contour maps, grading plans, cross-sections, desilting plans, bund development, walking tracks and lake beautification drawings.
- Hydraulic Structures: Drafting plans, sections and detailed structural drawings for hydraulic components, including sluice gates, weirs, spillways, canals, culverts and water conveyance systems.
- Check Dams: Preparation of general arrangement drawings, foundation layouts, longitudinal and cross-sections, structural details and construction drawings.
- Bridge-cum-Barrage (BCB): Preparation of layout plans, elevations, structural sections, pier and abutment details, gates, foundations and associated components.
- Building & Infrastructure Projects: Architectural, structural and service drawings for public buildings, utility structures, toilets, pump houses and other civil infrastructure.
- Public & Recreational Spaces:



Preparation of landscape plans, site development layouts, pathways, seating areas, parks, outdoor fitness zones, amenities and recreational facilities.
- Water Supply & Sanitation: Drafting of pipeline networks, pumping stations, overhead tanks (OHT), ground-level storage reservoirs (GLSR), STP, MRF and associated infrastructure layouts.
- Survey & Site Development: Preparation of contour plans, spot-level drawings, grading layouts, earthwork and cutting/filling drawings based on survey data.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed working drawings, GFC drawings, BOQ-supporting drawings and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, surveyors and project teams.
- Ensure drawing accuracy, proper dimensions, levels, annotations, layers and drafting standards.
- Revise drawings based on site conditions, engineering inputs and client requirements.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.

Required Software: AutoCAD (2D drafting), with knowledge of Civil 3D, SketchUp and other drafting/visualization tools preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
