Role descriptionYou will build and run career and university guidance for our senior school, reporting to the Principal. You'll help students understand themselves, choose subjects and streams with confidence, and plan realistic routes to universities in India and abroad, working closely with students, parents and teachers.
• Run one-to-one and group career counselling for Grades 9–12, including the Grade 10 stream choice, and a subject-choice session for Grade 8.
• Use aptitude and interest assessments, and explain the results to students and parents in plain terms.
• Guide students on Indian entrance routes (CUET, JEE, NEET, CLAT, NID and others)



and on applications to the UK, US, Canada, Australia and elsewhere.
• Support applications: shortlists, essays and statements of purpose, recommendation letters, deadlines and documents.
• Hold parent sessions and career fairs, and bring in university and alumni speakers.
• Keep a record for every senior student, and report destinations and outcomes each year. Qualifications
• At least 3 years in career or university counselling, ideally in a school.
• Working knowledge of Indian entrance exams and international admissions.
• Warm, steady and discreet with teenagers and anxious parents.
• Transparent writer and organised record-keeper.
• A counselling certification is a plus. Full-time, on campus at Aliganj. We are looking for candidates already based in Lucknow. Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
