Key Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research on indirect tax matters, including GST, Customs, Service Tax and Central Excise.
• Analyse statutes, regulations, judicial precedents and relevant case law.
• Prepare research notes, case briefs and legal submissions.
• Draft replies, appeals, writ petitions, legal opinions and other legal documents.
• Assist in court proceedings, hearings and procedural matters.
• Coordinate with senior advocates and team members in case preparation and hearing-related work.
• Maintain case files, track proceedings and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Eligibility & Qualifications
• LLB / BA LLB / BBA LLB from a recognised institution.




• Mandatory enrolment with the Bar Council; West Bengal enrolment is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of post-qualification experience in the tax domain.
• Working knowledge of indirect tax laws, particularly GST, Customs, Service Tax and Central Excise.
• Must be currently based in Kolkata. Please note: This is an experienced-hire position. Freshers and candidates without the requisite post-qualification experience in the tax domain are requested not to apply. Desired Skills
