Patil Vidyapeeth, Global Business School & Research Centre in Pune City. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger posting, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, statutory regulations, and tax requirements. The Sr. Accountant will handle payroll-related accounting, monitor fees and revenue records, support audits, and maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions. This role collaborates with academic and administrative departments to provide timely financial reports, resolve queries, and support decision-making with reliable financial data. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, journal posting, and preparation of financial statements.




• Candidates should possess skills in taxation and compliance, such as knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements relevant to educational institutions.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting, variance analysis, cash flow monitoring, and management reporting.
• Candidates should possess skills in accounting software and tools, including familiarity with ERP or Tally-like systems, MS Excel, and other financial management applications.
• Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills to manage records, support audits, and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial data.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal departments, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/ICWA/CPA or equivalent) are an added advantage.
• Prior experience in an academic or institutional environment, and experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role, will be considered beneficial.
