Legal Counsel (Case Manager) UCS is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Case Manager who can handle debt collection cases across India for overseas and domestic clients.
Location:
Gurgaon, India Required Experience 2 yrs.-5 yrs.
Education:
Bachelors in Law or Masters in Law in overseas (UK, US, Canada, Australia) Functional Expertise & Main Job-Related Skills
• Representing large international and domestic clients in order to collect overdue accounts.
• Examining and analysing the claim documents to assess recovery prospects of the claimed overdue account.
• Interacting with debtors to resolve matters of the outstanding payments.
• Negotiating a reasonable settlement in case of disputes and to ensure recovery as per the settlement.
• Keeping a track of the matters where debtors have furnished payment schedules and to ensure adherence by those debtors.
• Keeping the client updated and informed on all developments in cases being handled for collection on their behalf.
• Keeping the respective counterparts updated and informed on all developments in cases.
• Working closely with the legal and collections team and also with the external lawyers/agents outside India.
• Recording & maintaining interactions with the clients/debtors and the payment proposals submitted by them in the relevant ERP sections.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports. Required Qualifications
• University Graduate or above in Law.
• Preferably candidates who have pursued their education overseas (UK, US, Canada, Australia) and either Bachelors in Law or Masters in Law
• Speaks fluently in English.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in drafting, vetting and understanding the legal documents.
• Valuable commercial negotiation skills.
• Good team spirit with good character and able to work hard under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office and particularly Excel to maintain records and analyse performance in the ERP.
