Role overview: We are looking for a procurement professional to drive cost optimization, strategic sourcing, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) management. The role involves maintaining product cost sheets, managing procurement data, planning commodity sourcing, supporting New Product Development (NPD) costing, onboarding Contract Manufacturing Units (CMUs), and coordinating with Finance to ensure accurate cost and inventory reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
Cost Optimization & Strategic Procurement Initiatives: Identify, plan, and execute strategic cost-reduction projects across key procurement channels without compromising product quality or delivery timelines. Cost Sheet Maintenance & Change Management: ● Track, maintain, and regularly update product cost sheets.



● Manage and control cost change activities across SKUs to minimize impact on overall profitability. COGS Management & Data Governance: Maintain the master COGS database with high accuracy, ensuring proper document versioning and data integrity. Data & Analytics Management: Monitor price fluctuations, track input cost variances, and prepare accurate periodic reports for management decision-making. Commodity Procurement & Demand-Supply Planning: Oversee procurement planning for key dairy and specialty commodities. NPD Costing & CMU Onboarding: Partner with the R&D;, Brand, and Operations teams to establish accurate, robust product cost models and achieve timely NPD COGS closures. Contract Manufacturing Unit (CMU) Identification: Identify, vet, negotiate with, and onboard potential CMUs to support production scaling and brand expansion. Financial Alignment & Reconciliation: Address, resolve, and close all queries from the Finance team related to vendor balances, price variances, purchase order discrepancies, and inventory ledger reconciliations Key Requirements ● Minimum 2–6 years of experience in procurement within the FMCG/Food industry. ● BE/B.
Tech in Supply Chain / Operations. ● Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions. ● Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport-building. ● Ability to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary. ● Experience in contract farming / agricultural backgrounds will be an added advantage.
