About Paramverse Paramverse is a Mumbai-headquartered group driven by the belief that progress begins with ideas, discovery and a deeper understanding of the world around us. Its philosophy extends beyond conventional business thinking to explore questions that shape human progress, consciousness and what it means to be human. As part of this vision, Paramverse is developing Parmatma, an ideas-led nonfiction book exploring consciousness, self-awareness, discovery and the human experience. The book seeks to bring together scientific inquiry and profound philosophical questions, encouraging curiosity and intellectual exploration without compromising scientific credibility. The Book Editor & Content Lead will play a pivotal role in taking this substantially developed manuscript to publication, ensuring that it is scientifically rigorous, editorially exceptional and true to the author's original voice and intent. This is a specialised editorial leadership role that combines a strong scientific foundation with deep editorial sensibility. You will bring intellectual rigour to complex ideas, strengthen the clarity and coherence of the manuscript, challenge weak arguments and ensure that scientific concepts are accurately represented without diluting the author's distinctive perspective. • Edit deeply and sensitively while preserving the author's personality, spontaneity and original thinking.
• Challenge assumptions, weak logic and inconsistencies without unnecessarily altering the author's intent.
• Balance scientific precision with philosophical exploration and creative expression.
• Retain distinctive or unconventional ideas where they add value rather than normalising the narrative.
• Work closely with the author to refine arguments and strengthen the overall reading experience. 4. Research, fact-checking and references
• Manage fact-checking, source evaluation, citations and references throughout the manuscript.
• Verify the credibility and relevance of research papers, scientific publications and supporting material.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, definitions, references and scientific explanations.

• Oversee final manuscript refinement, copy-editing and proofreading.
• Ensure consistency in language, formatting, terminology and editorial style.

• Coordinate editorial inputs and ensure that all corrections are incorporated appropriately.
• Deliver a publication-ready manuscript that meets high standards of nonfiction publishing. 6. Book project and team leadership
• Lead the book project from its current manuscript stage through publication.
• Own the publishing schedule, milestones and editorial deliverables.
• Coordinate with authors, researchers, specialist reviewers, designers and publishing partners.
• Manage design dependencies, review cycles, approvals and stakeholder handoffs.
• Track progress, identify potential bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Act as the central point of coordination for the Book Team. Who you are Academic background: A formal academic qualification in a scientific discipline such as Physics, Biology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Chemistry or another rigorous scientific field.
