Job Purpose To enable data-driven decision-making across the business by building robust, reliable reporting infrastructure and translating operational and commercial data into explicit, actionable insights. The role focuses on standardizing how performance is measured and reported — ensuring stakeholders across functions have accurate, timely, and consistent visibility into the metrics that matter. Structure, validate & present data to answer the ‘what’s happening’ and ‘what should we watch’ with precision and speed. The Business Analyst will act as the primary owner of reporting and dashboarding for their assigned business area, serving as the go-to partner for data requests, performance tracking, and recurring business reviews. You will design and maintain dashboards, automate recurring reports, ensure data accuracy across sources, and support leadership with ad hoc analysis for business reviews, planning cycles, and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports (daily/weekly/monthly) covering sales, traffic, margin, funnel and operational KPIs.
• Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle: requirement gathering, data validation, dashboard build, QA, and stakeholder rollout.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources (GA4, BigQuery, ERP/order systems, CDP) into single sources of truth for business metrics.
• Partner with functional teams (category, marketing, operations)
to define reporting requirements and standardize metric definitions.
• Proactively flag anomalies, trends, and performance deviations in recurring reports before they're asked about.
• Support monthly/quarterly business reviews with structured reporting packs and trend commentary.
• Maintain documentation of report logic, data lineage, and dashboard change history for audit and continuity.
• Continuously simplify and consolidate reporting — retiring redundant dashboards, reducing manual reporting effort.
• Present reporting outputs to stakeholders with clear, concise narrative, not just numbers on a screen.. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Job Experience
• 3–6 years in business analytics, reporting, or BI roles, preferably in ecommerce, retail, or a similarly data-dense environment.
• Demonstrated track record of building and scaling dashboards used for recurring business decision-making.
• Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and reconciling discrepancies across systems.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous or fast-changing reporting requirements, with a bias toward standardization.
• Cross-functional experience partnering with commercial, marketing, and operations teams. Required Skills
• Dashboard design & BI tool mastery (Power BI, Looker) — including data modeling, DAX/LookML, and performance optimization
• Strong SQL; working knowledge of Python for automation and data prep
• Experience with GA4, BigQuery, or equivalent web/app analytics and warehousing tools
• Data validation & QA discipline — able to catch and root-cause reporting discrepancies
• Report automation (scheduled refreshes, alerting, self-serve dashboard design)
• Strong written and verbal communication for translating data into business narrative
• Stakeholder management — balancing multiple reporting requests and priorities
