Role Description The Microbiologist will work full time on-site at the Hosur laboratory, performing routine and specialized microbiological testing across food, water, pharmaceutical, and environmental samples. Daily responsibilities include sample collection and preparation, culture and isolation of microorganisms, conducting microbial load and pathogen detection tests, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The role involves operating and maintaining microbiology laboratory equipment, following standard operating procedures, and ensuring tests meet internal and external quality and regulatory requirements.



The Microbiologist will collaborate with quality assurance teams, interpret and validate results, prepare technical reports, and contribute to method development and continuous improvement initiatives. Adherence to safety protocols, valuable laboratory practices, and timely completion of testing assignments are essential aspects of this position. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample handling, aseptic techniques, and good laboratory practice.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of microbiology, including microbial identification, culturing methods, and pathogen testing.
• Candidates should possess experience with laboratory equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, laminar flow hoods, and analytical instruments.
• Candidates should possess quality control and quality assurance skills to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant test results.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 or similar accredited laboratory systems is advantageous.
• Strong documentation, data analysis, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and integrity in record-keeping.
• Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment, follow SOPs, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
