Role Description The Akamai Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Akamai-based content delivery and web performance solutions. This role involves configuring Akamai products (such as CDN, web acceleration, and security features), optimizing website and application performance, and troubleshooting issues related to caching, routing, and edge configurations. The engineer collaborates with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and secure delivery of digital services. Daily tasks include monitoring Akamai traffic and performance metrics, managing configuration changes, documenting implementations,



and supporting incident resolution and root-cause analysis. The role may also involve contributing to automation, best practices, and continuous improvement of CI/CD and deployment processes related to Akamai integrations. Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Akamai platform configuration and management, including CDN, caching rules, edge server configuration, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS/SSL, REST APIs, and common web architectures (load balancers, proxies, firewalls).
• Experience with application performance monitoring and troubleshooting using logs, analytics tools, and metrics to identify latency, availability, and routing issues.
• Familiarity with web security concepts and tools, including WAF policies, DDoS protection, bot management, and secure content delivery on Akamai or similar platforms.
• Comfort with scripting or automation (e.g., Shell, Python, or similar) for configuration management, deployment workflows, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in site reliability engineering, network engineering, or web infrastructure operations, preferably supporting large-scale, high-traffic environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. <
