We are looking for a senior engineer to both build and lead that delivery. The Role We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to lead CloudGate's Azure delivery team while staying hands-on in the platform. This is a player-coach role: you will own the technical quality of our engagements — landing zones, migrations, networking, security, and Managed Services — and at the same time manage, mentor, and grow the Azure delivery team. You will turn solution designs from presales into delivered, production-grade outcomes, set engineering standards, and keep projects on time and on scope. Deep, current Azure engineering depth is nonnegotiable, as is the ability to lead engineers and own delivery accountability. Key Responsibility Hands-on Engineering & Delivery:
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, hub-and-spoke / Virtual WAN networks, migrations, and DR / business-continuity solutions to production standard.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub) for repeatable, governed delivery.
• Deliver across Azure computer, networking, identity (Entra ID), storage, security, and governance — and support Managed Services operations where needed.
• Own delivery quality: solution validation, documentation (SOM/SOP, as-builts), handover, and post-go-live stabilization. Team Leadership & Time Management:
• Lead, manage,



and mentor the Azure delivery team — assign work, review designs and code, and grow engineers' capability.
• Own delivery planning and execution: scope, timelines, resourcing, risks, and status reporting to leadership and customers.
• Set and enforce engineering standards, reusable patterns, and quality gates across all engagements.
• Run technical kick-offs and steer-cos; act as the senior escalation point for delivery and technical issues. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
• Partner with presales architects to validate solution feasibility, effort estimates, and SOWs before commitment.
• Engage Microsoft field and support teams on complex deployments and escalations.
• Build and maintain a reusable library of IaC modules, reference implementations, and delivery playbooks.
• Stay current on the Azure roadmap, Microsoft Fabric, Sentinel / Defender, and AVS, and bring improvements into delivery. What will you bring:
• 8+ years in IT / cloud, with mandatory recent hands-on Azure engineering and delivery experience — this is nonnegotiable.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers and owning end-to-end delivery accountability on enterprise engagements.
• Deep, hands-on Azure depth — compute, networking (VNets, VPN/ExpressRoute, Firewall, routing), identity (Entra ID), storage, security, and governance.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform and/or Bicep) and CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Solid grasp of Azure Landing Zones, migrations, DR design, and the Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks.




• Excellent written and spoken English; clear technical documentation and confident communication with customers and team.
• Azure certifications — AZ-104 expected; AZ-305 and/or AZ-700 / SC-100 strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Self-directed and accountable — comfortable owning delivery and leading a team end-to-end in a remote setting. Bonus

Skills:
• Experience at a Microsoft partner, cloud services provider, or systems integrator delivering multiple concurrent engagements.
• Specialist depth in Azure VMware Solution (HCX, vSAN, NSX-T), Microsoft Sentinel / Defender, or M365 E5 security deployments.
• Experience running or supporting a Managed Services / operations function (monitoring, backup, patching, incident response).
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python) and familiarity with PnP / Microsoft Graph.
• Multi-cloud exposure (AWS or GCP) for migration and consolidation engagements.
• Arabic language skills (an advantage for regional delivery), and prior delivery for banking, energy, telco, or public sector in MENA or Africa.
