Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in 3D CAD modelling, mechanical product development, GD&T; and Design for Manufacturing (DFM/DFA). The candidate will be responsible for developing production-ready mechanical designs, optimizing product performance and supporting end-to-end product development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
• Conceptualize, design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and complete products for robotics, drones, battery packs, electronic enclosures, moulds, jigs, fixtures and other engineering applications.
• Create parametric 3D models, complex assemblies and detailed 2D engineering drawings using Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.
• Apply GD&T; (ASME Y14.5), dimensional tolerancing and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design accuracy and assembly compatibility.
• Implement DFM/DFA principles to optimize product design for manufacturability, assembly, material utilization, cost and performance.
• Prepare BOMs, assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, DXF files, CNC cutting profiles, flat patterns and nesting layouts.
• Ensure designs are compatible with manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, casting and moulding.
• Coordinate with hardware, electrical,



production and manufacturing teams for prototype development, design validation, troubleshooting and engineering modifications.
• Perform material selection, component sizing and basic mechanical calculations to ensure product strength, reliability and functionality.
• Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product design and CAD-based engineering.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, including part modelling, assembly modelling, sheet metal and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T;, ASME Y14.5, tolerance stack-up and DFM/DFA principles.
• Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, fasteners, fits and mechanical assembly.
• Experience in BOM preparation, engineering documentation and manufacturing-ready drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC nesting, DXF generation and 3D printing workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Office with solid analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills
• Experience in robotics, UAVs/drones, battery systems or electronic product development.
• Knowledge of FEA, structural analysis and design validation.
• Experience in prototyping, vendor coordination and production support.
