Purchase Manager – Facade & Fenestration Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, agile, and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience managing procurement for the Facade and Fenestration industry. In this role, you will oversee the complete source-to-pay lifecycle—including vendor evaluation, cost negotiation, material estimation, and logistics—for complex architectural envelope systems such as curtain walls, unitized and semi-unitized systems, aluminum doors & windows, louvers, and railings.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Procurement & Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for raw materials, hardware, glass, extrusions, and specialized facade components.
• Technical Evaluation: Review architectural and structural drawings (BOQs and take-offs) to ensure procured materials meet precise specifications for unitized/semi-unitized systems, curtain walls, and fenestration products.
• Vendor Management : Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable global and domestic suppliers of aluminum profiles, silicone, gaskets, hardware, anchors, and specialized glass. Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable credit terms, and strict SLAs.
• Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Drive value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or compliance. Monitor market trends for aluminum, steel, and glass to hedge against price volatility.
• Supply Chain & Logistics: Coordinate with project management, production,



and site installation teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, minimizing project delays and site storage costs.
• Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all incoming materials comply with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, CWCT, AAMA, IS codes) and project quality requirements.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and vendor returns efficiently.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with estimation, design, engineering, project execution, and production teams to align material availability with project timelines. Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline).

Experience:
8 to 10 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, specifically within the Facade, Fenestration, or Architectural Metalwork industry. Product Knowledge: Deep technical understanding of facade systems, including:
• Unitized and semi-unitized curtain wall systems
• Aluminum doors and windows
• Structural glazing, louvers, and architectural railings
• Associated raw materials (aluminum extrusions, architectural glass, structural sealants, EPDM gaskets, and specialized brackets/hardware). Skills & Competencies:
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and contract-management skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, BOQs, and facade fabrication layouts.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office Suite (advanced Excel).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.  Budget: 7 lpa to 10 lpa
