• Manage server resources, storage utilization, CPU, memory, and system performance.
• Configure remote server access, SSH, RDP, and secure administrative access.
• Handle server installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Ensure servers are properly documented and handed over after deployment. 2. Network Configuration & Administration
• Design, configure, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, and enterprise network environments.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, access points, and other networking devices.
• Work extensively with TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and port management.
• Configure static and dynamic routing, network segmentation, and inter-network communication.
• Manage IP addressing, subnet allocation, gateway configurations, and DNS resolution.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity across multiple devices, servers, and project locations.
• Ensure stable and secure communication between different infrastructure components. 3. Firewall & Infrastructure Security
• Configure, manage, and maintain network firewalls and security policies.
• Implement firewall rules, ACLs, port restrictions, NAT policies, and network access controls.
• Secure server environments through system hardening, access restrictions, and security configurations.
• Configure VPNs, secure remote access, and encrypted communication channels.
• Implement network segmentation and appropriate isolation between critical systems.
• Identify unauthorized access, suspicious network traffic, open ports, and potential security vulnerabilities.
• Perform regular security checks, configuration reviews, and infrastructure vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure infrastructure follows organizational security policies and applicable security standards. 4. Server Commissioning & Project Deployment
• Independently handle end-to-end infrastructure setup and commissioning for new projects.
• Assess project infrastructure requirements and prepare server and networking configurations.
• Install and configure servers, networking devices, firewalls, switches, and supporting infrastructure.
• Configure IP addressing, DNS, routing, ports, connectivity, and required network services.
• Coordinate with software development, application, and project teams to ensure infrastructure readiness.
• Perform connectivity testing, service validation, performance checks, and security verification before deployment.
• Troubleshoot deployment-related issues and ensure successful commissioning.
• Maintain deployment documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, and handover reports. 5. Troubleshooting & Technical Support
• Independently diagnose and resolve server, network, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Troubleshoot DNS failures, DHCP issues, routing problems, firewall restrictions, port conflicts, packet loss, latency, and service interruptions.
• Investigate server downtime, operating system failures, network bottlenecks, and configuration issues.
• Analyze system logs, network traffic, and monitoring data to identify root causes.
• Resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network configuration issues.
• Provide technical support to development, software, and project teams.
• Handle critical infrastructure incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. 6. Server & Network Monitoring
