Role Overview NIMS Group invites applications from energetic, visionary academic leaders and experienced design professionals for the position of Principal – NIMS Institute of Design & Fashion Technology. The incumbent will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to establish and strengthen the institute as a center of excellence in Fashion Design, Textile Design, and Creative Arts. The role requires a leader capable of driving academic innovation, faculty development, industry collaborations, student employability, and institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership to the institute.
• Develop and implement academic plans, curriculum frameworks, and teaching methodologies in line with applicable regulatory and university guidelines.
• Lead faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ensure academic quality, effective teaching delivery, and continuous improvement in learning outcomes.




• Establish industry collaborations, internships, live projects, and placement opportunities for students.
• Promote innovation, creativity, research, and industry-oriented learning.
• Oversee admissions, student engagement, academic activities, examinations, and institutional administration.
• Drive institutional growth, branding, academic reputation, and student employability. Eligibility &

Experience:
• Ph.
D. in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Technology, or in allied Design/Management discipline, with a First-Class Bachelor's and Master's degree from premier institutions or leading recognized universities.
• 15 + years of experience in academic leadership, faculty management, curriculum development, and institutional administration, with at least 3–5 years as a Professor / HOD / Principal in a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Strong understanding of the fashion and design education ecosystem.
• Excellent leadership, communication, networking, and organisational skills. Who Should Apply?
