Role Description The Assistant Professor of English will be a full-time, on-site faculty member based at the Bengaluru campus. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English language and literature, designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials, and evaluating student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects. The Assistant Professor will participate in curriculum development and review, contribute to academic advising and mentoring, and engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conferences. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives, participating in university committees,



and supporting co-curricular activities that enhance the student learning experience. Qualifications
• Strong skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners in classroom and seminar settings.
• Expertise in teaching Business communication, Professional English, English communication, soft skills to PG students.
• Experience in Curriculum Development for English programs, with the ability to design courses, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.
• Should have experience shouldering responsibilities like Evaluation, student mentoring, Internship coordination and documentation, administrative responsibilities
• Advanced degree in English or related field (minimum of a Master’s; Ph.
D. or equivalent preferred).
• Evidence of research activity, such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing scholarly projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with robust academic writing and presentation abilities.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to departmental and institutional development initiatives.
