Role Description The Tax Assistant is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves supporting tax compliance and reporting by assisting in the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns, gathering and organizing financial data, and maintaining accurate tax records. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with accounting software to input and reconcile data, assisting with payroll-related tax calculations, and helping prepare basic financial statements and schedules for tax reviews.



The Tax Assistant will collaborate with senior team members on tax-related queries, support documentation for audits and assessments, and ensure adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations. Qualifications
• Strong skills in Tax Preparation and familiarity with core Tax concepts relevant to corporate and individual compliance.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software and basic understanding of Financial Statements used for tax and audit purposes.
• Knowledge of Payroll Administration and related statutory deductions and filings.
• Ability to analyze financial data, maintain accurate records, and work with spreadsheets and documentation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional tax or accounting certifications are an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and work closely with senior professionals.
• Prior internship or work experience in taxation, accounting, or audit will be considered an added benefit.
