Role Overview We are seeking experienced Electrical Design Engineers / Senior Electrical Design Engineers with strong technical expertise in the electrical design and development of oil-filled power transformers. The selected candidates will be responsible for quotation design, detailed engineering, core and coil design, material selection, design calculations, BOM preparation, design validation, and technical support for transformer manufacturing operations in the USA.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop oil-filled power transformers in accordance with customer specifications and applicable IEEE, ANSI, and IEC standards.
• Perform electrical design calculations, including core sizing, winding arrangements, impedance, losses, dielectric strength, and short-circuit withstand capability.
• Prepare quotation designs, detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM),



and Advance Material Ordering (AO) documentation.
• Carry out dielectric, thermal, electromagnetic, and short-circuit performance analysis.
• Select and optimize electrical design parameters to achieve performance, cost, efficiency, and reliability objectives.
• Review and validate designs against customer specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Control Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical clarifications and engineering support to the USA manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables while maintaining design accuracy and quality.
• Support design improvements, engineering standardization, and process optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing. Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.
E. / B.
Tech).
• 4–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design of power transformers.
• Strong hands-on experience in oil-filled power transformer electrical design.
• Experience in core and coil design, winding arrangements, insulation design, impedance calculations, and loss optimization.




• Familiarity with transformer testing requirements and relevant international standards.
• Experience working on engineered-to-order transformer projects will be an added advantage. Preferred Technical Skills
