About the Role
We are looking for a Design Consultant with a solid understanding of furniture and interiors, excellent client relationship skills and a confident approach to sales. You will help clients select furniture suited to their spaces, preferences and budgets, guiding each enquiry from the initial consultation through to order completion.

Key Responsibilities
• Welcome showroom visitors and respond to enquiries with a personalised, professional approach.
• Understand each client’s space, requirements, design preferences and budget.
• Present our collections, explaining product features, materials, finishes and craftsmanship.
• Recommend furniture, upholstery and finish combinations suited to each project.
• Read floor plans and advise on furniture dimensions, placement and combinations.
• Prepare mood boards, product presentations, quotations and proposals.
• Follow up on enquiries, answer client questions and convert consultations into confirmed orders.
• Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, architects and interior designers.
• Coordinate with design and production teams to confirm customisation options, specifications, pricing and delivery timelines.
• Accurately document approved selections, specifications and order details.
• Maintain organised records of client enquiries, follow-ups and orders.
• Support showroom styling,



exhibitions and client presentations when required. Required Skills
• Strong communication, presentation and client relationship skills.
• A good eye for colour, proportion, materials and furniture styling.
• Ability to read floor plans and understand basic furniture layouts.
• Confidence in preparing quotations, discussing pricing and closing sales.
• Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or SketchUp would be an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Product and Design Knowledge Candidates should have a working understanding of:
• Furniture dimensions, proportions and space planning.
• Upholstery fabrics, leather and cushioning options.
• Wood, veneers, metals, marble and other furniture finishes.
• Furniture construction, quality and craftsmanship.
• Customisation requirements and their impact on pricing and delivery timelines. Candidate Profile
• A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in luxury furniture, design consultation, interior design or premium retail sales.
• Comfortable working with homeowners, architects and interior designers.
• Able to manage multiple clients while maintaining accurate records and timely follow-ups.
• Professional, approachable and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Comfortable working towards sales targets while maintaining a high standard of client service. What We Are Looking For
