Role Description This is a full-time, in office Gold Loan Officer role based in Bengaluru. The Gold Loan Officer is responsible for assessing the quality and value of gold ornaments, explaining loan products to customers, and processing gold loan applications in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Daily activities include verifying customer documentation, performing KYC checks, managing loan disbursement and repayments, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves monitoring pledged gold, ensuring secure storage, conducting periodic audits, and coordinating with branch staff and managers to achieve portfolio and quality targets. The Gold Loan Officer provides clear,



respectful customer service, handles queries and issues, and promotes cross-selling of relevant banking products while adhering to compliance, risk, and security standards. Qualifications
• Ability to evaluate and handle gold assets, including basic knowledge of gold purity assessment, valuation, and secure storage procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain loan terms, resolve queries, and maintain professional relationships.
• Basic banking and finance understanding, including loan processes, KYC norms, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Attention to detail and numerical accuracy for handling cash, calculating interest, tracking repayments, and maintaining records.
• Proficiency in using branch banking systems, standard office software, and digital tools for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage time effectively, and collaborate with branch teams to meet business and quality goals.
• Prior experience in gold loans, retail lending, or branch banking is preferred; experience in customer-facing roles will be an advantage.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is typically preferred; relevant certifications in banking or finance are an added benefit.
